More Information: Many Stones was inspired by the death of Amy Biehl, a white anti-apartheid activist who was stoned to death in South Africa by several young African men who claimed they were under political pressure to commit these acts. These men were released under the Truth and Reconciliation Commission process, which Amy Biehl’s parents supported, and two of the men now work at the Amy Biehl Foundation Trust , a youth empowerment and anti-violence nonprofit organization.
